You’ll need an electric motor, a controller (for variable speed
and forward/reverse), batteries and a charger.
A battery monitor is almost essential (to indicate how much charge is
available and how much current is being consumed) and a means of telling the
speed (a log or a GPS) helps in gauging the amount of electricity needed.
The motor can usually be connected to the existing
propeller shaft so no structural modifications are necessary to the hull.
